Title: Problem-Driven Bilevel Optimization

Speaker: Handing Wang, Xidian University

Biography:
Handing Wang received the B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2010 and 2015, respectively. She is currently a professor with School of Artificial Intelligence, Xidian University, Xi’an, China. Dr. Wang is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, and Complex & Intelligent Systems. Her research interests include nature-inspired computation, multiobjective optimization, surrogate-assisted evolutionary optimization, Trustworthy AI, and real-world problems.


Title: Intelligent Drug Molecule Design and Synthesis

Speaker: Yiping Liu, Hunan University

Biography:
Yiping Liu is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Hunan University. His research focuses on computational intelligence, multi-objective intelligent optimization, and drug discovery. He has led four national-level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project (Category B), and two provincial-level projects, such as the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund. In recent years, he has published over 60 papers in high-level international journals and conferences, including CCF-A ranked publications and IEEE Transactions. He has received honors including the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Jiangsu Province, the Second Prize of Natural Science Award from the Chinese Association of Automation, the First Prize of Science and Technology Award from Jiangsu Association of Automation, and the Best Paper Award at GECCO. He has also been recognized in the Stanford-created list of the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists.


Title: Advances in Genetic Programming

Speaker: Ying Bi, Zhengzhou University

Biography:
Ying Bi is a Professor at Zhengzhou University. She has been recognized as a National High-Level Young Talent and a Category C High-Level Talent in Henan Province. She is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the national “Young Marxist Cultivation Project” Sci-Tech Class. Her primary research interests include genetic programming, evolutionary computation, machine learning, and image recognition. She has authored one English academic monograph and published over 90 SCI/EI-indexed papers in journals and conferences, including 28 papers in IEEE Transactions journals. She has applied for more than 20 invention patents.
Prof. Bi has received the IEEE CIS Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award and the Gold Award in the Second National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. She serves in several international roles, including Editorial Board Member for eight renowned journals such as IEEE TEVC, IEEE TAI, and IEEE TASE, Chair of the IEEE CIS Women-in-CI Committee, Chair of the IEEE CIS Task Force on Evolutionary Computer Vision and Image Processing, Workshop Chair of the 2024 IEEE WCCI/CEC, Student Affairs Chair of 2023, 2024 GECCO, LBA Chair of 2026 GECCO, Panel Chair of 2026 IEEE WCCI/CEC, Publicity Chair of 2025 PRICAI, and Program Chair of 2025 IVCNZ.
